Rachel Heseltine is the VP of SEO for Sports, News, and Entertainment Digital at CBS Interactive at Paramount Global.
She has also worked as the VP of the award winning Consumer Growth team at Trader Interactive (Best In-House Team of 2020 at the Global Search Awards). in her past role as VP of Search at ForRent.com, a CoStar Group, Inc. company in Norfolk, VA. her team were the winners of the 2017 Best In-house Search Team at the US Search Awards.
Previously she was the Global SEO Business Lead at Hewlett Packard Enterprise in New York City, and before that, the Senior Director in charge of Organic Audience Development at AOL Inc. In this role Rachel and her team were responsible for SEO, Social Marketing and Email Marketing across all AOL properties; helping to set strategies, implement tactics and train staff as needed / required. Rachel and her team won the 2014 “Best In-House Team” at the 2014 US Search Awards, and finished as runner up in the 2015 awards.
Rachel has also worked on the agency side as the Director of Search at a Washington D.C. boutique agency. While there Rachel was responsible for developing and implementing organic search and social media strategies for companies across several industries. She also developed and delivered training programs for clients, including a large U.S. media company, to enable them to best take advantage of the opportunities available to their companies through both organic search and social media.
Rachel is a frequent speaker at conferences around the world on topics ranging from SEO to Social Search to Reputation Management. She also taught Online Marketing at Georgetown University in Washington D.C. as part of their Digital Media Management program for 5 years.
Rachel has a BA (Hons) from the University of Humberside, and a Masters in IT from Virginia Tech.
