Local Search / Local Search Marketing. Make your pages more local. Address & local phone number on all pages. Write out a “Locational Directions” page (as specific as possible). Use every geographic location you can (zip codes, area codes, etc.) – include page title, anchor text (inbound and internal). PPC tactics – geotargeted ads, advertise on local search engines. Internet Yellow Pages + Local Review Sites as well. Local search engines provide data to major search engines. 92% of shoppers find online reviews helpful. Local Search 2.0: 1/29/07 – Google Maps became much more prominent. Google Maps jumped 26% in 2007.
