With the rise of Google’s universal search, search engine marketers are going to have to be craftier to make sales / generate leads. Clearly, people who have never thought of using video in SEM (including me) are going to have to adapt to this new landscape. Above is my first affiliate video. Pretty cheesy huh? However, I have “found” targeted traffic that I wouldn’t have gotten any other way.
Below is a video I made to advertise a job opening at the company that I work for (S.R. Clarke Executive Search). I made this with “public domain” video available at archive.org and the video software that came with my computer. Again, I have generated traffic that I wouldn’t have gotten any other way.
Many well-written, tightly-messaged competitors of mine are languishing unfound in the SERPS while folks are watching and acting upon my videos.
SEM is Darwinism at its finest…adapt or perish.

Good idea th have the kids in the stop smoking video. Kinda personalizes it for a potential lead. Very Clever.
