What is the hotseat? Why is that one free?
Marisa –
That is an error on our part. I am updating the drop down now.
Thanks for bringing it to our attention!
Marisa, we’ve come to use the term, “hot seat” to refer to any live review of a page or site while the site owner is in attendance.
This can be an organic hot seat, or PPC campaign, landing pages, or even a hot seat devoted to backlink strategies etc.
The site on the “hot seat” is simply one that the panel reviews.
As far as “Why is that one free?” goes, I’m unsure what you mean. Our free events are networking events, and the educational ones have a fee, which is reduced for paying members of SEMpdx.
Err – oops – Scratch all this –
I see what you mean – Hot Seat was available as a payment option in the drop down. Whomever posted it left the selection available – I’ll try to fix it… Sorry!
Thank you Kent and Scott! I had hilarious images of the hot seat being placed above a large tub of water and people throwing balls to dunk the hot seater. Your explanation makes much more sense. Looking forward to the event.
